Blood Utilization & Management Program

CME Opportuntity: Opioid Use During Pregnancy
The goal of this training is to provide an overview of the opioid use and pregnancy, and to outline recommended practices for before and after child birth. This module will require practitioners to consider the implications of opioid use that are unique to women, and identify risks of opioid use during pregnancy. This activity will also give practitioners the opportunity to learn about best practices for prenatal care when opioids are being used, as well as best practices for postpartum care of mother and child in cases of opioid use disorder (OUD). Please refer to the CDC Guideline for Prescribing Opioids for Chronic Pain for additional information as needed during this training.
